Split PDF
Break a PDF into separate files — one per page, every few pages, or by custom ranges such as chapters — and download them individually or as a ZIP.
Result
Choose a PDF and how to split it.
How to use this tool
- Choose a PDF.
- Choose how to split: Every page, Every N pages, or Custom ranges (each comma-separated range becomes one file, for example
1-3, 4-6, 7-). - Select Split PDF and download the files or the ZIP.
How it works
Ranges are inclusive and use page numbers starting at 1. 8- means page 8 to the end, -3 means pages 1 to 3, and last is the final page. Pages are copied without re-compression.
Example
A 10-page PDF
Every 4 pages gives three files: pages 1–4, 5–8 and 9–10. Custom ranges 1-3, 5 gives two files: pages 1–3 and page 5.
Privacy and limitations
- Your PDF is processed on your device and is never uploaded.
- Files are named after the original with -part-1, -part-2 and so on.
- Password-protected (encrypted) PDFs cannot be opened. Remove the protection in the program that created the file first.
