What you enter in calculators and tools
Calculators and tools run entirely in your web browser. The values you type, the text you paste and any files you choose — such as PDFs, photos and other images, or files you hash or encode — including dates of birth, health measurements, financial figures, passwords and tokens, are not uploaded to our server and are not stored by us. Files are read and processed on your device only, and the files the tools create are generated there too. If you reload the page, everything is gone.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server and hosting provider record technical request data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to keep the site secure and working, and is kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
- Essential cookies. The site’s software sets a session cookie and a security (CSRF) token cookie. They are needed for the site to work securely, do not build a profile of you and expire when the session ends.
- Your privacy choice. If you accept or reject optional cookies, that choice is stored in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again.
Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example which calculators and tools are opened and whether a result was produced. We send only the event name and which page it happened on, never the values, text or files you entered or the results. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. Analytics does not load unless you accept optional cookies.
Advertising
Advertising is currently not enabled. If we enable it, ad-related cookies will be described here and will only be used in line with the consent choices required where you live.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to respond and to improve the site. We don’t sell it or add you to mailing lists.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with service providers needed to run the site (such as hosting, and analytics or advertising providers if enabled and consented to), or where required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the EU or UK GDPR or US state privacy laws — you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we don’t receive what you enter into the calculators and tools, and don’t run user accounts for visitors, we usually hold very little information about you. To make a request, email hello@example.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changing your choices
Use the cookie settings link in the footer to change your consent, or clear this site’s data in your browser.
Children
The site is a general-audience reference tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
