Blur and Pixelate Image
Hide private details in screenshots and photos — faces, number plates, names and addresses — by dragging over them and choosing blur, pixelate or a solid box.
Result
Choose an image, then drag over the areas to hide.
How to use this tool
- Choose an image and drag across each area to hide.
- Choose pixelate, blur or solid box and the strength.
- Download the result.
How it works
Pixelate replaces each block with its average colour; blur applies three box-blur passes (close to a Gaussian blur); a solid box replaces the pixels entirely. Strength scales with the image size.
Example
A screenshot with an email address
Drag over the address and choose solid box — the safest way to hide text.
Privacy and limitations
- Your files are processed on your device and never uploaded.
- Light blurring or large pixels can sometimes be reversed for text; use a solid box for anything sensitive. Metadata is not kept in the saved image.
Frequently asked questions
Is blurring enough to hide text?
Not always. A solid box removes the information completely.
Can I hide several areas?
Yes — drag as many areas as you need; Undo removes the last one.
