How to use this tool
- Choose a PDF, the image format and the resolution.
- Leave pages as
allor choose pages such as1-3. - Select Convert to images and download each page or all of them as a ZIP.
How it works
Pages are drawn by pdf.js, the PDF renderer used in Firefox. Image size = page size in points × dpi ÷ 72. An A4 page (595 × 842 pt) at 150 dpi becomes about 1240 × 1753 pixels. Transparent areas become white. Very large pages are rendered at a lower resolution to stay within your browser’s limit of about 16.7 megapixels per image.
Example
A Letter page at print quality
A US Letter page (612 × 792 pt) at 300 dpi gives a 2550 × 3300 px image.
Privacy and limitations
- Your PDF is processed on your device and is never uploaded.
- JPG is smaller and suits photos; PNG keeps text perfectly sharp but files are larger.
- PDF scripts are never run. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened.
