Formula
Every unit is converted through square meters. Because area is length squared, factors are the squares of length factors:
- 1 ft² = 0.3048² m² = 0.09290304 m²
- 1 acre = 43,560 ft² = 4,046.8564224 m²
- 1 hectare = 10,000 m²
- 1 mi² = 640 acres

1 acre = 43,560 ft² = 4,046.86 m².
A 1,500 ft² home
1,500 × 0.09290304 = 139.35 m².
